Messiah-in-Chief Barack Obama? Will Conservative Soldiers Stay In?

About the Author:  The Party of Kennedy is NOT the Party of Pelosi. The Democratic Party has radically degenerated into a socialistic and postmodern perversion of its former place in American political thought. In place of Judeo-Christian values they embrace secular humanism; in place of a strong national defense they embrace a reliance upon internationalism; in place of a strong family they embrace a radical abortion agenda that increasingly includes outright infanticide. I can't sit idly by and watch the culture war pass me by. It is time to choose sides. As Joshua 24:15 puts it, "choose this day whom you will serve." Polls have shown that the more committed one is to (any) religious belief, the more conservative one tends to be politically. One’s views toward religion profoundly affect one’s commitment to political, social, and moral issues. In my articles, I seek to argue in favor of a religion-friendly view of culture, morality, and politics. Read more from this author

This is just idle speculation, but I wonder how many professional warriors would leave the military rather than take their orders from Commander-in-Chief Barack Hussein Obama?

Here are the poll numbers representing active duty military personnel:

If the presidential election were held today, for whom would you vote?
Total: 68% for McCain; 23% for Obama

Enlisted Personnel:
68% for McCain; 24% for Obama

Officers
70% for McCain; 22% for Obama

Which of the candidates would do a better job as president handling the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
74% for McCain; 19% for Obama

Which of the candidates would do a better job as president handling military personnel issues, such as pay and benefits?
73% for McCain; 18% for Obama

Which of the candidates would do a better job as president handling Defense Department issues, such as weapons purchases, the size of the armed forces and national security strategy?
77% for McCain; 15% for Obama

And here’s a link to the corresponding story in the Army Times.

I was a soldier, too.  If a Barack Obama suddenly became my Commander-in-Chief, I would have realized the war is over, and America lost.  I wouldn’t fight for the radical infanticide/abortion agenda, the radical gay rights agenda, or any other radical liberal agenda.  I signed up to fight for the United States of America; not God Damn America. And I’d figure it’s about time that liberals sent their children off to die screaming in the mud for their new Peoples’ Socialist Republic under their new Messiah-in-Chief.  Hell, instead of protesting military recruitment, these once-traitorous vermin (under the previous gone-but-not-forgotten United States of America) can quit protesting military recruiting stations and start actually signing up in them.  That’s right, liberals; instead of bombing recruiting stations like Obama’s terrorist pal William Ayers you can go and start signing up to sacrifice your blood and guts for your new country.

Geez, I wonder if you’d stop bitching about how evil American soldiers were fighting terrorists all over the world if you actually had to do all the fighting yourselves?  Heck, it’s possible it might even start to occur to you that a place like Guantanamo Bay is a better idea than releasing terrorists who will immediately start trying to kill you again the moment they get back to their old stomping grounds.

Heck, I’ve got an even better idea.  Liberals have thought excluding gays from the military was so danged unfair and discriminatory.  Obama wants to end the don’t ask don’t tell ban.  Why don’t we “swing the other way,” and have a “Gay All The Way!” military?  Maybe - in the name of tolerance - you might allow a few token heterosexuals in as long as they don’t reveal that politically incorrect sexual orientation of theirs.  It’s time to gear up for battle, Rump Rangers; you’re going to need to feed a lot of red meat into the grinder once the world’s dictators realize that the President of God Damn America is an appeasing weakling.  You can use those superior compromising skills of yours to deal with Iran unleashing terrorist hell once your Messiah-President does nothing while Iranian President Ahmadinejab develops nuclear weapons so they can launch terrorism-by-proxy strikes on us with impunity.

The new God Damn America could augment its “Gay All The Way!” status with women who believe that being excluded from being able to do anything a man can do is discriminatory.  They can start walking sustained patrols while carrying a hundred pounds of extra weight in 110 degree heat, and be the ones who try to keep all their body parts intact while running and dodging with fifty pound combat loads.  Good luck with that, girls.  The guys carry that; surely you can do it too.  And don’t worry; you won’t have any heterosexual males around who would let that insulting and patronizing chivalry of theirs get in the way of your NOW-feminist-style equality.  You’ll get the chance to develop that upper body strength of yours digging your own fighting positions out of the rock hard clay.

There’s already an upside: in the United States military, combat readiness has always been hampered by pregnancies that could run as high as 30%.  The God Damn America military could drop that down to zero.

And the fighting men of the “Gay All The Way!” God Damn America Army could finally put an end to that tired old cliche about there not being in atheists in fox holes.

All I know is this: I look at the numbers of the conservatives serving in the military, and I can’t help but wonder - and even hope - that those conservatives start leaving the army of the nation that wants to start pissing on their basic values in droves.  Let the liberals start doing the fighting.  Conservatives have done most of the fighting; liberals have done most of the bitching.  Maybe we conservatives could start bitching about how evil liberals are for trying to protect the country for a change.

Here’s a hotlink to a story I wrote Friday: “Are the Armed Forces “racist” for overwhelming rejection of Obama?” It’s got a hotlink to some .pdf charts that show breakdowns of numbers.

And here’s a story from yesterday: “Armed Forces, generals, admirals endorse McCain while Powell retreats.”

BTW: “It’s time to gear up for battle, Rump Rangers” is a great line.

BTW2: I hope the conservatives don’t leave or stop enlisting. They may be our only hope. Certainly, they seem to be the only ones of service age with the honor and commitment to understand that freedom is not free.

And that service means something, irrespective of whoever lives in the White House.

God bless them all. And their families.

BTW3, Michael: What branch of USA? MOS? And thanks for your service.

    Best.

Answer to third question: Infantry, 11 Bravo Charlie 2 (light infantry mortarman). My unit put the light in LIGHT infantry; I was the heavy artillery with the little 60mm! (though we would use 81s at our FOBs).

I actually hope that conservatives make the country pay for electing a radical socialist. If there aren’t consequences, we will keep going farther and farther down the wrong road. I wouldn’t EVER tell another soldier what to do, but I wouldn’t serve under OBama as my CiC. And unless I had nowhere else to go, I wouldn’t re-enlist when my time was up. Liberals wanted Obama, let them fight for him. That’s me. A guy who says he’s going to keep fighting for his country even if a weasel is leading it has my respect.

I don’t know what our fighting men think now, but I know that when I served in the 80s, we weren’t a bunch of PC metrosexuals. A homosexual just would NOT have been tolerated. Someone wants to say that we weren’t “confident in our sexuality” or whatever, fine. We were a bunch of young bucks, and we probably WEREN’T. You shouldn’t force social policy on your warriors; you should let them have their own little world. Life in the infantry is too demanding, too controlled, and not private-enough, as it is.

I agree with you Michael on the point that liberals should have to deal with the consequences of their choices and we should help them out! If this country is eventually going to hell in a hand basket, I hope it hits the fast lane so people can see what a liberal, socialist country is really like to live in. If it gets bad enough in short order, maybe there will be opportunity to change things. The most dangerous slide toward socialism is the gradual slide. When things change slowly, people don’t seem to notice. If this nation tanks within 6 months of an Obama presidency, maybe it will open people’s eyes.

    Grunt,

Let’s hope that Obama doesn’t get elected.

I can imagine that he’ll have even more contempt for the military, and they for him, than they even had for Bill Clinton.

“Let the liberals start doing the fighting.”

Well said. Problem is - I wouldn’t trust them not to run at the first opportunity.

  • Michael Eden says:

    Denise,
I look at it slightly differently: I DO trust them …. to run at first opportunity. Trust them implicitly.

If that’s what it takes to reveal their cowardice, so be it.

But cowards they are, and it’s better that folks realize it.

  • Michael Eden says:

    American 29,
I think that we have seen the way disaster will likely take place: takes a while to happen beneath the radar, and then the wheels fall off all of a sudden.

I agree. The long, slow slide (like slowly cooking a frog to death) is the worst prospect.

If Israel attacks Iran - recognizing that Obama will talk and talk and do nothing to stop Iran - I think we’ll immediately begin to see just how not up to the job Obama is.

I also don’t believe Obama will govern as a pragmatist. He’s got a radical Congress, and he’s got a lot of radical views. Too tempting to resist.

  • Nathan says:

Iam a Canadian and first of all I would like to thank the American military for the freedom we have from terror, even here in Canada because of your courageous sacrifices. It is good to hear confirmation from all of you that Liberalism indeed a very dangerous force in America. I was very greived that of all things the media presented about our “poor” military and “coming home with honor”, I didn’t hear anything about your feelings on the election. I appreciate what you are doing so very much, and not without much criticism myself. But I will not back down into the insanity of postmodern North American culture. You are right, these liberalists haven’t fought for anything, they play with the fate of the nation for their own agenda and really are just sinful cowards.

  • Michael Eden says:

We now live in a world whose leaders have an appalling ignorance of “evil.” For example, Obama is more likely to talk to Iran’s Ahmadinejab without preconditions than he is Sean Hannity.

Canadians, Americans, Brits, and Aussies once stood arms-locked against evil, and fought it with determination. We fought to defeat it, to eradicate it, not to “understand it” or compromise with it. Our weakest leaders tried to “negotiate” with it and appease it, but that got us only a larger war that we were more unprepared for than we would have been had we had the ability to recognize.

Sadly, I’m to the point where I believe that only a disaster or defeat will get us back to that “teachable moment” phase where we can learn that postmodern culture is a death knell.

My father, brother, and husband are veterans who have fought for this wonderful country. If you have no respect for the constitution, laws, and your commander in chief, you have NO BUSINESS IN THE UNITED STATES MILITARY. If you are clinging to the conservative or liberal banner, you need to go ahead and get out. I am proud of this Great country and the soldiers who can fight for it…..no matter what the race, religion or political views of the soldier next to them. The blood that has been shed for this country that we love has been enormous. If your leaders in the military have not taught you how to respect this country and our leaders, you need to go ahead and get out. Some of the views that have been expressed in this comment section by men who profess to love and respect this country are truely “scarey.” Our fore fathers were wise enough to know that a one party system is not good, and that the people of the country need to vote every four years for a change. As a Christian, I am thankful that God saw fit to let so many people cast a vote in this election. Democracy and Christianity are alive and well, and for that I am thankful… Also, thanks to the brave men and women who are on the battlefield fighting for our rights.

  • Michael Eden says:

    Dee,
My grandfather, father, and MYSELF fought for this country. I don’t think your bona fides count any more than mine did - particularly since I didn’t hear you tell me YOU fought for it.

The biggest problem with your “no matter who’s in charge, no matter what” speech is that Heinrich Himmler would have said the same spiel to any German during WW2.

You also point out that “Our fore fathers were wise enough to know that a one party system is not good.” But thanks to total media propaganda, that’s what we have now, isn’t it? A ONE PARTY SYSTEM.

So if you want to say, “My country right or wrong,” and every man has his duty to fight for his fuhrer, oops, I mean his fatherland, oops, I mean his country, and call that “Christian,” you go right ahead. Me? I served my country. I fought for it. I served it under a President and commander-in-chief who didn’t view 55 million abortions as “not nearly enough.”

What ought to be “scary” to you is the fact that a vote for Obama was a vote for a nuclear Iran, and a foreign policy that will end in chaos and disaster.

  • AL says:

I actually chose to separate rather than serve under an Obama administration. I spent 8 years on active duty and i refuse to serve under an administration that intends on cutting our funding 25% so we can go back to the carter days when we didn’t have enough parts to fly planes. I’ll miss being a Sergeant, but i feel i made the right choice.

  • Michael Eden says:

    Al,
One vet to another, thank you for serving during such a difficult period. I have been so proud of you guys since 9/11. You have been absolutely amazing. The word that comes to mind is “magnificent.”

No matter what happens, no one can take what you did away from you. If Obama screws up all that you achieved by your sacrifice, it doesn’t take anything away from what you DID achieve.

I can only tell you that I would have done what you did (separate). And I hope that more vets make the decision you did. Let the liberals fight their President’s battles for a change. Let them live the incredibly rigorous life of the infantry. If they want to cut and run, let them do the cutting and running. And let them do the dying when their cutting and running and disarming blows up in their faces. We’ll be ready when the country finally comes to its senses and realize they need us.

we’re not going to retake our country by enabling and serving the terrible leaders we’ve chosen. We’re not going to take our country back with, “My country right or wrong” thinking. We have to take a stand. And I think you took a stand by saying, ‘I won’t serve this administration.’

You left the military during a hard economic time. I am saying a prayer for you right now, that you’ll be able to get things going.
There’s a really good thing going on through Little Caesar’s right now. They are waving franchise fees for vets. It’s a great sign of trust that NCOs such as yourself deserve. Seriously, I would at least find out about it. If something like that doesn’t turn up, then you’ve got bennies for college. Make sure you know what you want to do, and then get yourself a good education to prepare you to do it.

God bless you and everyone like you, Al. And thank you for serving. Thank you for keeping the country safe for those 8 years.
