Obama mouthpiece implies Palin’s Christianity disqualifies her
Author: CKA in Red State USAMore cultural, religious and gender racism spews from Obama’s camp, as the Charleston, W.Va., Gazette attacked Sarah Palin’s Christian Pentecostal faith, suggesting that makes her unfit for office.
This is predictable sleaze and double-mindedness, given that Obama shill’s editorial “Ugly” said, “It’s disheartening to see the 2008 presidential campaign sink into smear tactics.”
In trashing Palin, “Ugly” stated, “Palin is vulnerable because she has spent her life in Pentecostal churches where members speak in tongues, cast out demons, await the Rapture, practice faith healing and try to ward off witches. So far, the Obama-Biden campaign has declined to question her fitness in this regard.”
Vulernable to what they didn’t say. And fitness? Fitness for what?
I guess they mean she’s vulnerable to smearing, lying, slandering and just general exploitation from Protestant-Christian-in-name-only Barack Obama’s campaign and other secular shills in the OMSM.
Or just your run-of-mill attack from the secular Democrat Party hacks and the liberals and leftists in their ranks and elsewhere?
Or ignorant prejudice from just a “low-quality daily newspaper,” the Gazette, as the Wall Street Journal’s James Taranto called them, that knows about as much about faith and ordinary Americans as, well, Barack Obama?
Fitness?
Oh, I guess they ‘re previewing Obama’s version of the revised Second Amendment so that Pentecostals are disqualified from practicing their freedom of religion.
And that, clearly, a Pentecostal is unfit to be vice president or, as the mantra goes, just a hearbeat away from the presidency?
At least she’s secure in where she’ll be going, when the Rapture comes, if she hasn’t already passed through Heaven’s gates.
Obama et. al. might consider their eternal fates. That is, if they can take time out from criticizing others’ beliefs.

It’s sad, they go after Republicans for their religion and it’s okay. Mention Barack Obama’s middle name and your a racist and investigated by the FBI.
Remember Mitt Romney had to give a “religion speech” because he’s Mormon? It’s just more of the same.
What I find interesting coming from this newspaper is the fact that they don’t look within their own state. I am from WV. There is an extremely large congregation of Pentecostal’s in the state of WV. I wonder how they feel about one of their own papers slamming them.
Stacy, you bet. Thanks for your comment.
Stacey’s comment adds a dimension that should be viable anytime, BUT the leftist press seems to know how to throw it on the wall and make it stick.
It’s unlikely that Pentacostals will object loudly, and they know it. The same with all Conservative issues. That’s what is shocking the left to their core: the woman’s comment about Islam at the McCain Townhall. I mean, we don’t do that, do we? We certainly should and it’s beginning to happen.
Maggie, you know where the Pentecostals will object loudly? In the voting booth.
The Gazette and the rest of the OMSM are just too dull of wit and full of themselves to understand that.
And, you bet, that comment at the Town Hall?
Republicans and conservatives must come the realization that, in this streetfight, the must meet not let one blow be landed that does not have a couple coming back at them.
And, no, I do not suggest literally this aggression. But I do suggest that powerful, hard-hitting, non-apologetic, even shocking responses, when necessary.
I think it is entirely appropriate to bring the debate into the religion realm. Palin is clearly a hypocrite and the only conservative with the moxy to actually say so is Dr. Laura Schlessinger. Palin is scary not so much for her extremist religious views, but for her racism, her lack of qualifications, her vindictiveness toward her past political opponents, and for her abuse of official power. Palin is also an evangelical who preaches abstinence only education…that seems not to have worked out too well for her, or more accurately for her daughter. For a democract, these same dysfunctional family qualities would disqualify her, for a Republican fire eater, its just par for the course. Christians might do well to look to the simple gospel of Christ where there is a marked concern for the “least of these.”
Dr. Jones, I agree that Christians “might do well to look to the simple gospel of Christ” but why are you narrowing the look to “the least of these.” The answer: Because his is the less than genuine drum of Barack Obama.
If extremist religious views are so very scary for you, what is your position on Barack’s adult lifetime support of Black Liberation Theology. You disapprove of vindictiveness to past political opponents: what of his disqualify of his Chicago opponent, not to mention his continual vindictiveness through accusations of non-existent racial divide from Republicans?
Palin advocates for abstinence, and it didn’t work out for her family, but that does not make her position wrong. Address the infanticide legislation supported by Obama, or the sex ed for kindergartners. We have the documentation, so refuting the charges is useless.
The hate for believing Christians is over-the-top. Take for example this comment that someone named Joey attempted to post on my blog…
And he goes on like this. I reject his posts because this type of thing doesn’t add anything to a debate. But the amount of rage that can be seen in his and many other postings does scare me. I pray that there is calm after the election. Please join me in praying for Joey and others that have so much anger.

Lisa, I agree re: hatred. And I pray that there’s calm before the election, though it seems that the much-higher levels of unleashed hatred have set fires that may take some time, maybe a long time, to burn out.
Maggie, thanks for your comment. It surprises me that so many Obamaites play their religious card, COMPLETELY ignoring that:
(1) Barack Obama appears, at best, to be Protestant Christian in name only;
(2) he’s a supporter of separatist racial theology, which is a perversion of the real Gospel of Jesus Christ, thus heresy, because you just don’t sit in the pews of a so-called church as TUCC for 20+ years unless you do support such perverted gospel;
(3) he’s said there are many paths to God, which is Christian heresy, and
(4) last and certainly not least, and there may be more reasons, he supports infanticide, which is about as much anti-Christ-like as imaginable.
Dr. Jones, maybe you should ponder these points I’ve just made. From what I read, your list of grievances finds grounding in your politics, not religion.
If you’re going to make accusations of racism, et. al., then put your proof where your bias is. You can post those points here.
Oh, by the way, your cut at Republicans who are “fire breathers” is yet another cultural and religiously racist remark. Pentecostals include all colors, gender, ages and, yes, politics, though, truly, I do not know how someone can call themselves Pentecostal and support a platform that supports abortion.
Nor how such persons can conceivably consider voting for such a racial arsonist and religious charlatan as Barack Obama.
