Jimmy Carter brought us the misery index when he ran for President in 1976. It was the rate of unemployment plus the rate of inflation. Later, Ronald Reagan used Carter’s own words  against him in a presidential debate in 1980. Jimmy Carter had no answer, since he himself had devised the measurement.

Barack Obama has devised the Missouri index, in which his commitment to free speech can be measured by what he attempted in Missouri. If you measure that against what McCain has done in Missouri of elesewhere against free speech, he beats Obama hands down according to the Missouri index.
