Why Obama’s Outrage Over “Lipstick” Comment Is So Outrageous
Barack Obama is “about-to-go-totally-postal” livid with outrage over the “lies,” “swift boat politics,” and “phony outrage” generated by his “You can put lipstick on a pig” remark that followed Palin’s “What’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick” quip.
Aside from the fact that Obama’s “lipstick on a pig” remark follows in the immediately aftermath of THE most famous line of a speech that 37 million Americans watched; aside from the fact that Obama would have had to be an incredibly stupid man NOT to have Sarah Palin in mind as a referent when he made his own “lipstick” remark; and aside from the fact that the crowd Obama delivered the remark to CLEARLY took it to mean a “red meat” mocking of Palin; Barack Obama’s own “phony outrage” merely serves to show what a craven hypocrite he really is in light of his own continual misrepresentations of John McCain’s words.
(CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama on Wednesday accused Sen. John McCain’s campaign of engaging in “lies” and “swift boat politics” in regard to his comment about “lipstick on a pig.”
Sen. John McCain’s campaign said Obama’s “lipstick” line was an attack on Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.Sen. Barack Obama dismisses GOP criticism about his reference to “lipstick on a pig.”
“Spare me the phony outrage. Spare me the phony talk about change,” Obama said at the start of an education event in Norfolk, Virginia.
“We have real problems in this country right now. The American people are looking to us for answers, not distractions, not diversions, not manipulations. They want real answers to the real problems we are facing.
“I don’t care what they say about me. But I love this country too much to let them take over another election with lies and phony outrage and swift boat politics. Enough is enough,” he said, referring to how Swift Boat Veterans for Truth launched attacks against Sen. John Kerry in the 2004 presidential race.
But his outrage is itself outrageous.
This is the same Barack Obama who deliberately misrepresented John McCain’s remark about staying in Iraq for “100 years” into a vile characterization that McCain is the kind of mindless war monger who would keep us at war forever. In the very same breath that he said “100 years,” John McCain pointed out that he would be for keeping troops in Iraq as long as they were safe, similarly to the way that we’ve had troops in Germany and Japan for over sixty years.
This is the same Barack Obama who deliberately misrepresented John McCain’s avoidance of answering how many houses he and his wife owned to morph him into some “older than retarded” filthy rich elitist who owned so many homes he couldn’t remember them all. In reality, John McCain doesn’t own any houses; his wife owns them, and several of them are investments properties, and properties held by Cindy McCain in trusts.
This is the same Barack Obama who deliberately misrepresented John McCain’s JOKE about rich being defined as “$5 million” even after McCain said it would be distorted.
So Barack Obama’s selective outrage over “lies” and “swift boat politics” - when he clearly took a swipe at Sarah Palin - just serves to remind me of what a low-life piece of lying rodent turd this guy is.
You don’t like it when people critically examine what you say, Obama? Then why have you done it over, and over, and over again?

Amen sir! It is about time someone in the media holds this moron’s feet to the fire. I am sick of him making claims like: He didn’t support or even know about Jeremiah Wright’s radical “Hate White America” views despite the fact that he has sat in the church for 20 years. This man is the face of hypocrisy and the media refuses to expose it. Personally I hope they keep smearing Palin. It shows them for what they truly are: Left Wing America Hating Socialists.
Ah…………..what a tangled web we weave, when first we purpose to deceive! I have never seen anyone so undone when he tries to change the conversation, divert the question, and wrap the answer in gobbledy-gook. What a phoney! Now, let’s watch the chickens come home to roost. Watch out, OB. The American people are watching and listening and THEY are not as easily fooled as your media friends!
John drags Jeremiah Wright - and Obama’s denials that he had a clue what his pastor was preaching for 23 years. And well he should.
The sermon that Obama got his “Audacity of Hope” book title from contained Jeremiah Wright saying, “White greed drives a world in need.” A racist, anti-white statement. White people are greedy ( = bad), and the world suffers for white depravity. So he was sitting in the pews for that one.
He also definitely knew about Jeremiah Wright’s rabidness when he dis invited him for his campaign inauguration. He told Wright he was “too rough.” How did he know that if he didn’t KNOW it?
Lastly, I would give money to find out where Barack Obama was the Sunday following 9/11 - when Wright issued his infamous “G-d damn America” outrage. How could he NOT have known about that?
Bill O’Reilly in his interview pointed out that racist and anti-American stuff was being sold in the church lobby; and that Obama had to literally WALK BY it. Obama didn’t deny it. He merely said, “What can I say?”
What CAN he say?
this lipstick issue demonstrates yet again that McCain’s strategy for winning is based on personal attacks and distracting people from the main issues… i just hope people aren’t as gullible as McCain seems to think they are
Barack Obama has repeatedly deliberately distorted McCain and then attacked his distorted caricature.
When McCain said we might be in Iraq for 100 years, he in the very same breath compared such a stay in Iraq to the 60+ years we’ve been in Japan and Germany. But Obama lied about McCain and portrayed him as a man who is determined to stay at war in Iraq forever.
When McCain said he’d have his staff get back to a politico reporter who asked how many houses he and his wife own, Obama fallaciously misrepresented John McCain (who doesn’t even own a house; his wife owns them in various trusts, and a prenup agreement means they are NOT his homes) into some guy who is so rich and out of touch he doesn’t even know how many houses he owns.
And the definition of “rich” - McCain jokingly said $5 million, said, “But… seriously,” and stated that it would be “distorted.” And it was, by an Obama who turned it into another personal attack.
Obama used racism against McCain, claiming that McCain (who’s done no such thing) would use Obama’s race against him. That itself is a racist attack.
On and on…
So someone like you says some incredibly trivially stupid thing, and I just roll my eyes.
Why don’t you go take care of the LOG in Obama’s eye before you confront the speck in McCain’s?
