Did Any Reporter NOT Remind Us That Palin Didn’t Write Her Speech?

About the Author:  The Party of Kennedy is NOT the Party of Pelosi. The Democratic Party has radically degenerated into a socialistic and postmodern perversion of its former place in American political thought. In place of Judeo-Christian values they embrace secular humanism; in place of a strong national defense they embrace a reliance upon internationalism; in place of a strong family they embrace a radical abortion agenda that increasingly includes outright infanticide. I can't sit idly by and watch the culture war pass me by. It is time to choose sides. As Joshua 24:15 puts it, "choose this day whom you will serve." Polls have shown that the more committed one is to (any) religious belief, the more conservative one tends to be politically. One’s views toward religion profoundly affect one’s commitment to political, social, and moral issues. In my articles, I seek to argue in favor of a religion-friendly view of culture, morality, and politics. Read more from this author

Sarah Palin’s speech was absolutely devastating last night.  How do I know that?  Because every reporter and their talking pony had to specifically mention that it was written for her.

Google “Sarah Palin didn’t write her speech” and you’ll see that there’s your new liberal narrative.

I hate to tell you, but Barack Obama and Joe Biden didn’t write their speeches, either.  They ALL have speech writers to work with them.  And Sarah Palin was no different.  Heck, have all these stupid liberals brainwashed themselves into forgetting that even his “Just Words’ speech was “lifted”?

That doesn’t matter.  It still got pointed out over and over again by the drive-by analysts (pronounce ANAL-ists).

As Yoda would say, “A disturbance in the force there is.  To the mysoginist side liberals have turned.”

There has been a steady attempt to create a narrative that Sarah Palin is an inexperienced lightweight who is not strong enough or tough enough (or MOTHER enough) to be John McCain’s running mate.

It’s also another attempt to point out Sarah Palin’s “inexperience” in a way that would - again - equally denigrate Barack Obama if it were only applied fairly.  Is it because he’s a liberal that they don’t bother to apply the same standard to Obama they apply to Palin - or because she’s a woman and he’s a man?

Either way, they are being blatantly biased and unfair.

By attacking Palin as a mother in a way they NEVER would have attacked a liberal male candidate as a father, they’ve already shown that they will use blatantly sexist tactics to destroy Palin.  And that’s precisely what many of Hillary Clinton’s supporters said the media did to her.

  • You could hear Palin’s voice all over that speech. The day of the speech, I heard that she had spent 3 days on it. GW is one of the most controlling Presidents, ever, when it comes to his major speeches - many of which have been magnificent. A speech writer fills-in when the speaker cannot. She can, and it was absolutely in her “voice.” What a bogus claim.

    Maggie,
Since writing this last night, I have learned that they had the wrong speech loaded on the teleprompter, and that the telepromter went out on her repeatedly even after the correct speech was loaded.

She had to ad lib a few times.

Every major politician has speechwriters. David Axelrod wrote Obama’s speech (and he had help from other speechwriters).

Palin, like Obama, brought in input and changed a few things.

It WAS her speech, in the sense that she helped shape it and made it hers in delivery.

This is just another in a long series of snide, snotty media babblers.

  • [...] That’s the turrets talking point of the MSM.  Given the fact that Obama and Biden have speech writers in their employ, this charge is a sign of desperation. Apparently, because the scurrilous charge that she didn’t make her own baby didn’t work, the MSM went to plan B, she didn’t maker her own speech.  Perhaps next they will claim that she doesn’t knit her own sweaters. The MSM has become a parody of itself.  [...]

You are all right-it doesn’t matter that she didn’t write the speech. And because she didn’t,I am hoping that she isn’t as hateful, snide, and divisive as the speech-writer.

Notice it doesn’t say, “keeps up sweetness.”

Sarah Palin spoke after the Daily Kos - which Barack Obama personally legitimized - ran a story that was completely false that said 1) Sarah was not the mother of baby Trig; 2) that Bristol was the mother from an incest relationship with her father (Sarah’s husband) Todd; 3) that Sarah faked a pregnancy in order to cover up the fact that Bristol’s baby had Todd’s DNA.

Somehow, in the aftermath of that, you talking about anyone else being “hateful” is kind of asinine.

But I love the fact that you people - who are the most vicious haters of all - constantly whine about “hate.” I wish you’d do it while looking in the mirror. Maybe you’d quit.

But I suppose your definition of “hateful, snide, and divisive” is a conservative who offers facts to prove that your candidate is arrogant, disingenuous, and hypocritical.

Which one of the factually correct things about Barack Obama bothered you the most, anyway? I mean, please, be specific.

Calling a liar a liar is not lying.

Someone named ‘critical thinker’ offered this which never got posted:

I mean I distinctly remember Anderson Cooper saying exactly what you are saying. Gotta have it for those leftist media types calling themselves out an all.

The greatest thing the Republican right wing ever did…and I mean EVER wasn’t even in real politics it was to convince the public that somehow there is this demonic left liberal puppetmaster sitting behind the scenes controlling everything. Get your head out of the sand.

He’s right; Anderson Cooper, responding to two “journalists’ offering the criticism, responded that it wasn’t fair.

But NOBODY even SUGGESTED the claim when Obama or Biden spoke. NOBODY pointed out that neither of these two men wrote their speeches.

When you raise a negative issue for one candidate that you don’t raise it for rival candidates even though it equally applies, that is bias. BIAS.

And the fact that Anderson offered his own “opinion” still doesn’t take away from the fact that viewers who just saw the speech immediately get their opinion of Palin chopped down a notch, when that wasn’t allowed to happen after Biden’s or Obama’s speech.

What we have here is one - of a MILLION little ways - that bias works.

  • Paul Zannucci says:

Sorry. Critical Thinker and I had a little issue. Apparently, I’m neither critical nor thinker enough.

While I appreciated the constructive comments, I dismissed him.
