About the Author: The Party of Kennedy is NOT the Party of Pelosi. The Democratic Party has radically degenerated into a socialistic and postmodern perversion of its former place in American political thought. In place of Judeo-Christian values they embrace secular humanism; in place of a strong national defense they embrace a reliance upon internationalism; in place of a strong family they embrace a radical abortion agenda that increasingly includes outright infanticide.
I can't sit idly by and watch the culture war pass me by. It is time to choose sides. As Joshua 24:15 puts it, "choose this day whom you will serve."
Polls have shown that the more committed one is to (any) religious belief, the more conservative one tends to be politically. One’s views toward religion profoundly affect one’s commitment to political, social, and moral issues. In my articles, I seek to argue in favor of a religion-friendly view of culture, morality, and politics.

Do you remember that 3AM phone call ad? Will our President be ready when it comes?
Sarah Palin, apparently, would be awake, alert, and have her rifle in her hands:
HILLARY Clinton supporters may go for John McCain now he’s revealed that his vice president would be one Sarah Palin. She’s the woman to man the red phone in times of emergency.
It’s 3am, the phone is ringing… And Sarah Palin:
Sarah and her father would sometimes wake at 3 a.m. to hunt moose before school, and the family regularly ran 5k and 10k races
Barack Obama might be able to give a speech - as long as the teleprompter has been set up and is working right. Otherwise he’s in a lot of trouble.
Obama might be able to talk tough in a speech, but Sarah Palin can hunt our enemies down and kill them.
I’ll take the fiesty chick with the big gun, thank you.

I’m with you ME.
A great choice. A real woman. Hopefully she’ll run for Pres after McC.
“I’ll take the fiesty chick with the big gun, thank you.”
Me, too.
And, just a guess here, but I bet she can recognize evil and knows what to do when she sees it.
Ditto for her husband.
CKA,
I’m energized about Palin. I was dead set opposed to Obama, but I don’t think I was ever truly “committed” to McCain until now.
Sarah strikes me as an incredibly classy yet incredibly down-to-earth lady.
Married 20 years. High school sweethearts. Five kids. Love their children for what they ARE (their children!). Oldest son going to Iraq to serve. Yeah. They know about right and wrong. They sure taught their son to stand up for good and fight evil.
Michael.
“Energized.” Now that seems to be the word today.
I’ve been with McCain, even with all his warts and blemishes, since first day.
But I really had the sense today that he’s now sealed the election.
Doesn’t mean time to take a vacation.
But now everthing Obama et. al., including the wrongly named MSM, sends the McCain-Palin team’s way, Obama et. al. will end up having to eat that.
Obama and his ilk have no idea of what they’re up against.
Makes one wonder: Is Biden going to mysteriously “disappear” from the ticket in a few weeks, only to be replaced by HRC?
Could happen.
And we know the Dems will do anything to regain the White House.
Interesting couple of months this way comes.
CKA,
I think that, just as Democrats are stuck with Obama, Obama is stuck with Biden (unless Biden dies, that is; there’s a conspiracy theory for you!). Obama can hardly say, “Ooops. Do over!” and pick Hillary.
I don’t know about you, but my worry MONTHS ago was that Obama and Hillary would be on the ticket. It would have been a tough match-up for us.
Thank God (and I do thank Him) that liberals tend to be vain and vindictive.
I agree with you. We can’t let up.
I also agree with you. I believe the election was sealed with today’s pick.
I’m watching the drive by coverage, and I keep hearing that Palin won’t win Hillary voters because Palin is pro-life. Two things: 1) Polls show that about 1 in 5 Hillary voters voted for Bush; they were voting for a woman, not an abortionist. 2) No one ever thought liberal feminists would vote for McCain; Palin’s going to draw moderate and independent women.
McCain will win w/ men; it’s women who he needed to draw. And Palin will draw millions of them.
I’ve also heard this described as a “desperate” choice. Given the fact that McCain and Obama have been tied - and that Obama has had a steady decline - McCain didn’t need to be “desperate.”
This wasn’t “desperate”; this was bold.
In the church, women do a lot of the work that needs doing. And I’ll bet you the same is true of politics.
I believe that a LOT of Republican women who would have otherwise been sitting back will get involved.
I expect to see: 1) increased fundraising for McCain; and 2) a steady increase in the polls.
I’ve felt for months Obama was a “McGovern” waiting to happen. He had the same supporters, and the same pseudo-ideas. Sarah Palin will push Obama over the cliff.
Just what we need, another creationist reactionary nut with ties to big energy companies holding a gun instead of thinking at 3am. This was a simple stoop to the religious conservative base, that she was female is a mere bonus. I suspect the more America finds out about her, the less compelling she will be as VP, and any gain she gives McCain in the short term will be lost before the election.
lol, Rapchat.
You can only hope. Palin is a spectacular campaigner, perhaps even the best of all four candidates. As America finds out more about her, the party of status quo and whining (Dems) will lose out even more. I’ll be surprised if this election is even close.
Responding to rapchat,
Let’s finally have that debate, open and honest. People who believe in God and decent moral values on the one side, people like you on the other. I’m sick of Democrats pretending they believe in God when they really think just like you do. Let’s finally come clean and tell the public what we really stand for.
Your “instead of thinking” point is itself simply stupid in that it is rhetoric without substance.
And, speaking of stupid, you are ignorant of just who Sarah Palin is, or you wouldn’t have said that crap. This is a woman who served on a political oil commission, filed ethics charges against a corrupt Republican, and when her Governor wouldn’t back her, resigned in protest. She has fought insider politics and corruption from the day she entered politics.

Sarah Palin is going to get huge attention at the Republican Convention, and she is going to knock people down with ‘wow.’ And then she’s going to deliver.
I am a die-hard Senator HRC supporter. Governor Palin cannot be seen as a token candidate with little experience in a year where the Democrats have forced an inexperienced, unqualified, zero to nothing in a suit on the top of our ticket.
The choice is clear-experience McCain versus abject lack of experience Obama or Soetero or Dunham or whatever alias he is now using since he moved back from Jakarta.
In addition, newsflash all women are not concerned with their uterus when we enter the polls. Many of us are concerned with: taxes, education, homeland security and most certainly not voting for the affirmative action candidate that has run amuck and set we African Americans back 200 years-Barack Obama.
I have spoken with more than 400 Senator HRC ladies and we are all voting for McCain and more of us are out there. Do not listen to the MSM, we HAVE defected the Democratic Party-well at least until 2012 when we can vote for Senator HRC for President.
Respectfully, rapchat, your knees jerked just like Obama’s did and just as the OMSM’s have.
And I”m with Michael Eden re: “Let’s finally have that debate, open and honest. People who believe in God and decent moral values on the one side, people like you on the other. I’m sick of Democrats pretending they believe in God when they really think just like you do. Let’s finally come clean and tell the public what we really stand for.”
Demockacrats, liberals and leftists stand for nothing except self and amorality.
And the DLLs, unable to present cogent and succinct arguments, resort to the tripe like that you wrote.
Face it: the DLLs have become the enemy of America, fascists who are intolerant of free speech because it threatens them.
And like intellectual adolescents and moral babies, they lack the wisdom to understand that cynicism, hostility, sarcasm, lying and ignorance really aren’t appealing.
