The amazing thing is that after legions of Catholic historians and theologians refuted her claims, Pelosi issued a statement that she was sticking to her position.

Facts don't matter. The truth doesn't matter. Reality doesn't matter. Morality doesn't matter.

The Democratic Party has become incredibly dangerous because it has been hijacked by radical leftist moral fools like the Speaker of the House.

Actually, Michael, I don't think that it's that Nancy Pelosi is against religioin. It's that she doesn't think there's room for God and His opinions/laws/precepts in her life. Or that, simply, since she's elevated herself up to His, or draggred Him down to her level, there's simply too little room for Him and her in the same reality.

What she's done, for sure, is show her evilness about and hatred for life.

You wonder: What was the probability of her showing her tuchas about abortion at a time when Obama -- or Soetoro, or Dunham, or whatever his real name might be -- needed it least?

Was this calculated?

If so, is there no one around her to counsel her on what a apostate and biblical fool she really is?

Oops.

I forgot to mention. Regardless of John McCain's abortion position, I don't think he's the one that called himself an "ardent, practicing Catholic" and then go on to so horribly butcher Catholic history and theology that you'd have to say she's completely insane. Nancy Pelosi, btw, has a 100% NARAL rating.

So it's just not that hard for me to pick who's worse on abortion. I'm sorry Jim is having such a tough time figuring it out.

I'm starting to support McCain (which is a surprise to me). But what I really want most is that woman and everyone like her gone.

Jim,
I read the article you provided. It did not mention the fact that the Supreme Court took the power of Congress to legislate against Roe v. Wade. Sick and disgusting as it is, it is up to our black robed masters to overturn what they created. Any legislation that Congress passed would almost certainly have been ruled "unconstitutional" by a Court that holds that the Constitution is pretty much whatever the hell they say it is.

McCain voted for the judge the article mentions at a time when Republicans naively believed that if they were fair with Democrats, Democrats would be fair with them. So they voted to confirm judges that passed the basic muster of competence. And the Democrats responded by "Borking" Robert Bork (destroying him without cause) and nearly doing the same to Clarence Thomas. Don't give Democrats a break, because rest assured, they will never give you one.

John McCain has a 0% rating by NARAL, so he must be doing something right. While I am personally opposed to embryonic stem cell research, I can understand why some politicians say that embryos that are already going to be destroyed might as well be used for research. It is trying to make the best of two terrible alternatives.

I'm a "Christian voter," but I don't consider myself anybody's dupe. I would like Republicans to be more courageous on abortion. That goes without saying. But I also know that bad as they are, they are a hell of a lot better on the subject than liberals.

This article seems to come from the perspective of someone who says, "If I can't have absolutely everything I want, I will give up everything and cut off my nose to spite my face." I'm just not one of those people. In politics, I fight for the best I can get, and then hold my nose and vote accordingly...

Republican's have given lip-service to ending abortions for 35 yrs. When did McCain decide life started at conception? Not until after he lost the primary to Bush in 2000.

In 1999, McCain did not care about murdering babies

GovWatch 1999: Don't force women to have illegal operations Top McCain Flip Flops: #4. Roe vs Wade:

Aug 1999, McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle that he would "not support repeal of Roe vs Wade" because it would force women to undergo illegal operations

JOHN McCAIN PRO LIFE WHAT A JOKE

http://www.newswithviews.com/baldwin/baldwin465.htm

Dr. Chuck Baldwin 8/22/08

Once again, "pro-life" Christians are doing back flips to try and justify their compromise of the life issue by trying to convince everyone (including themselves) that McCain is truly pro-life. However, these same people know in their hearts that McCain shares no fidelity to the life issue in any significant or meaningful way. Like many in the Republican Party, McCain's commitment to life is about as deep as a mud puddle

the "pro-life" GOP controlled the entire federal government from 2000 to 2006 and nothing was done to overturn Roe v. Wade or end legal abortion-on-demand? When Bush took the oath of office in January of 2001, over one million innocent unborn babies were being murdered in the wombs of their mothers every year via legal abortions in this country. When Bush leaves office in January of 2009, over one million innocent unborn babies would still be murdered in the wombs of their mothers every year via legal abortions in this country

Had McCain & his fellow Republicans truly wanted to end legal abortion, they could have passed Congressman Ron Paul's Sanctity of Life Act.

How can McCain, & his fellow Republicans in D.C., look pro-life Christians and conservatives in the eye in 2008 and expect that we take them seriously when they say that they are "pro-life"?

The reason they did not do it is because they did not want to do it. They merely want to use "pro-life" rhetoric as a campaign tool to dupe gullible Christian voters every election year. The disgusting thing about it is--it works

If unborn babies don't merit human rights, no one does.

The Nazis had a phrase: Lebensunwertes Leben (Life unworthy of life). And they systematically murdered millions of human beings after dehumanizing them.

All over the world, human beings have murdered other human beings after saying they didn't qualify to be deemed human.

From an Article I wrote called, "In Defense of Life."
http://startthinkingright.wordpress.com/2008/03/27/in-defense-of-life/

"Take a moment and consider the taxonomic system by which every living thing is rigorously categorized and classified. By that system a human embryo is of the kingdom Anamalia, of the phylum Chordata, of the class Mammalia, of the order Primate, of the family Pongidae, of the genus Homo, and of the species Sapiens - same as any other human being. Put even more simply, that embryo is a human by virtue of its parents, and a being by the fact that it is a living thing: it is a human being."

Pro-abortionists don't really give a damn about the fact that they are killing the most innocent of human lives. All they care about is "choice." The same people who want to tax, regulate, and control damn near everything.

I am grateful that the Catholic Church stepped up to the plate on this issue. In direct and tangible ways, murdering the unborn cheapens the life of those who are born.Hopefully, the crassness of Obama's support for abortion will awaken people to what is behind the fuzzy Madison Avenue phrase "pro choice".
