The US economy grew by 1.9% in the last quarter. That means we are not, as much as Democrats and the MSM may wish for it, in a recession. There is also news today that US deaths in Iraq are down to the lowest point since the invasion, and troop tours in Iraq will be [...]

Both of today’s tracking polls are in and the count is: Gallup Tracking, Obama +1; Rasmussen Tracking, Obama +2. The aggregate of tracking and standalone polls on Real Clear Politics has Obama +2.6. These results are within the margins of error and continue to indicate that Obama obtained no lasting benefit from his foreign tour. [...]

Liberals are starting to notice, and write about, the arrogance of Barack Obama. We can probably expect to see him change his personality again some time very soon. This morning Dana Milbank of the Washington Post wrote a scathing editorial about the Prince of Hubris, Barack Obama.
It seems that Obama’s presidential charade isn’t lost on [...]

Judging by one just-released study, we should pull the troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq and send the FBI instead.

In early July, the Richmond, Virginia, Times-Dispatch published a letter captioned Beware Charismatic Men Who Preach ‘Change’, submitted by a Cuban emigre, Manuel Alvarez, Jr., who had escaped the Castro regime in 1968. This compellingly-worded letter began making the rounds by e-mail and on July 20 reached me by the good graces of a [...]

On the left we have Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. Madame Pelosi is in the news today for saying that she’s trying to save the planet. According to the Politico:
With fewer than 20 legislative days before the new fiscal year begins Oct. 1, the entire appropriations process has largely ground to a halt because [...]

Today’s Gallup Tracking poll provides confirmation that Barack Obama’s “Berlin Bounce” was short lived and that John McCain continues to gain ground in the public-opinion polls. Today’s Gallup Tracking result has Obama +6 points, down from +8 yesterday and +9 the day before. As of this writing, Obama’s aggregate lead on Real Clear Politics stands [...]

This morning’s Rasmussen Tracking poll affirms the continuing pro-McCain trend in polling results. Leaners included, Rasmussen now has the race at Obama +1. According to the Rasmussen release, “Barack Obama’s Berlin bounce is gone.”
Tracking poll results are based on a 3-day rolling average; Rasmussen interviews 1,000 voters each day. Since yesterday’s Rasmussen [...]

Junior senator from Illinois Barack Obama has returned from strutting around the world as if he owns it. Now that he’s back state side he has directed his staff to start planning his transition. That’s awfully presumptuous for the man who is only the presumptive nominee of his party. Talk about audacious! Has he forgotten [...]

With all the media coverage of Senator Barack Obama, it’s hard to believe that no one knows who he is and what he stands for. It seems that with one of the most recognizable names in the United States, Barack Obama, along with his policies, would be fully scrutinized, especially since he could be [...]

The US media has led us to believe that 200,000 young Germans showed up on a Thursday to listen to the junior senator from Illinois give a speech. If it were true maybe it would be amazing. We’ve been hoodwinked again.
Hat tip to No Quarter for picking up on this. Those 200,000 Germans really showed [...]

England has a serious “problem with Islamification”: accelerated jihad-creep is in third gear. America is assaulted with Muslim women declaring their religious rights. They don’t like our hiring practices and they certainly do not like our airport security.
I don’t like it, but I gladly endure the airport checks. I want every Muslim woman to show [...]

Does anyone think the Pentagon issues “hints” to a Presidential candidate? Does anyone think The Huffington Post would print a quote from a named source at the Pentagon - a quote that might be embarrassing to Obama? Does anyone think Obama is not “distracting” to the War on Terror and those actually fighting the fight? [...]

I must credit Barry Obama with one thing: he’s never wrong. Or, to put it another way, no matter how wrong he is, he never admits error. Take Iraq, for example - - even though Obama was wrong about the need for a withdrawal plan, and even though he was wrong about [...]

Check out Texas Fred’s for a story of an apartment complex penalizing a couple, both of whom are sargeants in the National Guard and heading to serve in Iraq, for breaking their lease early. This is just wrong.

While most Americans were enjoying a summer Saturday Congress went to work for a change. Unfortunately for the American people that’s rarely good news. “Were they voting on allowing drilling in ANWR and off the Outer Continental Shelf?” you ask. Nope. “Did they meet to force Nancy Pelosi to step down as Speaker of the [...]

Who will make the best next President? Try this: simply imagine each candidate, in turn, raising a hand and saying, “On my honor I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country . . . .”
No, that’s not the oath of office. It’s the first part of the Scout oath; [...]
